teamiii

Privacy Policy

Effective August 7, 2026

teamiii is a platform where athletes build a profile, share stats, highlights, and achievements, and connect with coaches, clubs, and family around recruiting and team opportunities. This Privacy Policy explains what information teamiii collects, how it's used, who it may be shared with, and the choices available to you -- including specific rules for athletes under 18. It applies to both teamiii.com and the teamiii iOS app, which share the same account system and this same policy.

teamiii accounts are for adults age 18 or older. Profiles for athletes under 18 must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian. A minor athlete may be the subject of a profile, but is never the account holder. See Section 2 below.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in a few different ways, depending on how you use teamiii.

Adult account information

To create a teamiii account, we collect your full name, email address, and password (email/password sign-up), or your name and email as shared by Apple or Google if you use "Sign in with Apple" or "Sign in with Google." Apple lets you hide your real email behind a private relay address if you prefer -- whatever address you provide through that flow is what we store.

Minor athlete profile information

If a profile is for an athlete under 18, the parent or guardian who creates and manages it may provide additional information about the athlete -- see Section 2 for the full list.

Athletic information

Sport(s), position, jersey number, teams and club affiliations, season-by-season statistics, trophies and achievements, and gear/equipment entries -- whatever the account holder chooses to add.

Academic information (optional)

Athletes can optionally add school name and location, graduation year, GPA (weighted and unweighted), class rank, coursework, academic awards, SAT/ACT scores, and target schools. This section has its own visibility setting -- see Section 4.

Photos and videos

Profile and avatar photos, team logos, trophy photos, and Film Room highlight videos that the account holder uploads.

User-generated content and interactions

Messages sent between users, connection/message requests, follow relationships, "High Fives" (a lightweight reaction to a highlight, achievement, or profile), saved searches, and content reports or blocks submitted to us.

Opportunities listings

If you post to the Opportunities board (a roster opening, guest-player availability, training session, camp, coaching opening, etc.), we collect the details of that listing -- sport, positions, age/birth-year and graduation-year ranges, location, dates, and price, if applicable.

Subscription and payment information

For iii Pro subscribers, we store which billing platform you're on (web/Stripe or iOS/Apple) and your subscription status. See Section 7 for exactly what payment information teamiii does and doesn't receive.

Technical information

Standard web server request logs, and, on iOS, a device push-notification token if you enable notifications (used only to deliver notifications to your device -- see Section 3).

2. Information About Minor Athletes

teamiii accounts are for adults age 18 or older. For athletes under 18, the profile must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian -- not the athlete.

When you sign up, you'll confirm whether you're an athlete who is 18 or older, or a parent or guardian setting up a profile for an athlete under 18. We do not offer a way for someone under 18 to create or independently control their own account.

When a parent or guardian manages a profile for an athlete under 18, they may choose to add information about that athlete, depending on which features they use. This can include: the athlete's name, sport(s), team and position, birth year and graduation year, general location (such as city and state), height and weight, statistics and achievements, photos, and Film Room videos. The parent or guardian who manages the profile is responsible for deciding what information to include and can edit or remove any of it at any time.

Requiring an adult to hold the account is one control we use, but it doesn't by itself address every consideration that applies to information about minors. We describe plainly, throughout this policy, what information exists on a profile, who can see it, and what control the account holder has over it -- so a parent or guardian can make an informed decision about what to include.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Operate athlete, coach, supporter, and club profiles, including the athlete card and public profile page
  • Host and display Film Room videos and photos
  • Power search and discovery, so coaches, clubs, and family can find relevant profiles
  • Connect users through follows, messages, connection requests, and High Fives
  • Operate the Opportunities board (posting, browsing, and matching listings)
  • Send push notifications (iOS) and account-related emails you'd expect, like signup confirmation
  • Process iii Pro subscription payments and manage subscription status
  • Maintain the security of accounts, moderate reported content, and enforce our Terms
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve teamiii itself

We don't use your information for third-party targeted advertising, and we don't run any advertising or ad-tracking SDKs in the app or on the website.

4. Public and Private Information

This is important, so we want to be direct about it: teamiii athlete, coach, and club profiles -- including bio, teams, stats, trophies, photos, Film Room videos, and academic information set to its default visibility -- are designed to be discoverable, similar to a public profile page. Anyone who can reach a profile's page (for example, by link, or by finding it through search) can generally view what's on it.

Today, teamiii gives you a few controls over this:

  • Private account: turning this on requires anyone who wants to follow you to send a request you approve first, the same way a private account works on other social apps. Once private, only you and approved followers can view the profile and its content (teams, stats, trophies, photos, Film Room videos) -- this is enforced by our systems, not just hidden in the app's interface, so it isn't accessible to someone who only has the profile's link or ID.
  • Hide from search: keeps a profile out of teamiii's own search and discovery results. This is a discoverability setting, not an access setting -- the profile remains reachable by anyone who already has its direct link.
  • Academic visibility:academic information (GPA, test scores, coursework, etc.) can be set to Public, Followers, Coaches, or Private, independently of the rest of the profile. This is also enforced by our systems -- a "Coaches" setting, for example, is only readable by signed-in coach accounts (and, for private profiles, by approved followers who are also coaches).

We still want to be accurate rather than reassuring: someone you approve as a follower, or a coach who can see "Coaches"-visibility academics, is able to view that information inside teamiii and could always choose to share, screenshot, or repeat it outside the app -- that's true of any platform and isn't something a privacy setting can prevent. If you or the athlete you manage a profile for would rather certain information never be seen by anyone, the most reliable option is not to add it, or to remove it using Edit mode at any time.

Messages, connection requests, saved searches, and "who viewed my profile" data are private to the people involved -- only the sender and recipient can see a message, for example, and only you can see who viewed your own profile.

5. Location

teamiii uses general, self-reported location information -- like city, state, and country -- that you or the profile's manager types in. This is used to show a general location on a profile and to help with location-based search and Opportunities matching (for example, a nearby team-needs-a-guest post).

The teamiii iOS app does not request or use your device's precise GPS location. There is no location-permission prompt in the app, and no code path that reads your device's exact coordinates -- only the general, typed-in location described above.

6. Messaging and User Interactions

Direct messages are visible only to the sender and recipient. Connection ("message") requests carry an optional note and are visible to the requester and recipient. Follows, High Fives, and similar lightweight reactions are tied to your profile the same way a "like" or "follow" would be on other platforms -- generally visible as part of the relevant profile or content, consistent with Section 4 above.

If someone sends a report about a message or piece of content, or blocks another user, we retain that report/block record to act on it and to help prevent abuse.

7. Payments and Subscriptions

iii Pro (teamiii's paid subscription) is billed differently depending on where you subscribe, and teamiii itself never sees or stores your full card number in either case.

Web (Stripe)

Subscribing on teamiii.com uses Stripe's own hosted checkout page -- you enter your card details directly with Stripe, not with teamiii. We receive and store a Stripe customer ID and subscription ID, and your subscription status, so we know your account is a Pro subscriber. We don't receive or store your card number, expiration date, or CVV.

iOS (Apple App Store / RevenueCat)

Subscribing in the iOS app uses Apple's App Store billing (StoreKit), managed through RevenueCat. Your payment method is handled entirely by Apple -- teamiii never sees your card or Apple ID payment details. RevenueCat notifies teamiii of subscription events (such as a new purchase, renewal, or expiration) so we can update your Pro status; we receive an event type and your teamiii account ID, not payment details.

You can manage or cancel an iOS subscription any time via Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your device, the same as any other App Store subscription.

8. Service Providers / Information Sharing

teamiii doesn't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with data brokers or third parties for their own marketing purposes. Running teamiii does require sharing some information with the infrastructure providers who help us operate the service. Based on what's actually integrated into teamiii today, that includes:

  • Supabase -- our database, authentication, and file storage provider
  • Cloudflare -- hosts and streams Film Room videos
  • Stripe -- processes web subscription payments
  • RevenueCat and Apple -- process and report iOS subscription payments
  • Apple -- provides "Sign in with Apple"
  • Google -- provides Google sign-in
  • Expo -- delivers push notifications to the iOS app, and provides the build infrastructure the app is compiled with
  • Resend -- delivers transactional email (such as sign-up confirmation)
  • Our web hosting provider, which serves teamiii.com

These providers process information only as necessary to provide their part of the service, under their own security and privacy commitments. We may also share information if required by law, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of teamiii, our users, or the public.

9. Data Retention

We retain profile and account information for as long as the account exists. If you delete your account (see Section 10), most of your data is deleted immediately. We may retain a limited amount of information beyond that where reasonably necessary -- for example, in routine database backups that age out over time, in payment records our payment providers keep for their own legal/accounting requirements, or in security or moderation records tied to abuse reports. We don't currently enforce a fixed, published retention period for every category of data, and we don't retain information for longer than we have a reason to.

10. Account and Data Deletion

The adult who holds a teamiii account can delete it at any time, from inside the app -- Settings on iOS, or Account settings on the web -- without needing to contact us first. Deleting an account deletes the profile it manages and effectively everything tied to it: teams, seasons/stats, trophies, Film Room content, messages, opportunities, and more.

This is enforced at the database level, not just hidden from view, so deletion takes effect immediately once confirmed. As part of the same process, we also ask Cloudflare to delete the underlying video files behind any Film Room or Trophy Room videos on the account. If you have an active web (Stripe) subscription, we cancel it as part of deletion; an active iOS subscription isn't something teamiii can cancel on your behalf and continues to be managed through Apple until you cancel it there. A small amount of information may briefly persist afterward in routine backups, or in rare cases where a third-party service is temporarily unreachable at the moment of deletion, consistent with Section 9 -- but no account, profile, or content remains visible or accessible in teamiii itself.

You don't have to delete an entire account to remove specific content -- any team, trophy, highlight, stat, or other item can be edited or removed individually at any time using Edit mode.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information on teamiii -- including access controls at the database level and encrypted connections between the app and our servers. No method of storing or transmitting information is completely secure, though, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

12. Your Choices and Rights

You (or, for a minor athlete's profile, the parent/guardian managing it) can:

  • Edit or remove any information on a profile at any time using Edit mode
  • Turn on a private account, hide a profile from search, and set academic-information visibility, as described in Section 4
  • Manage push notification permissions through your device's system settings
  • Delete the account entirely, as described in Section 10
  • Contact us with questions, concerns, or a request about your information

Depending on where you live, you may have additional legal rights regarding your personal information. We haven't yet completed a region-by-region legal review of those rights, so we're not making specific promises about them here -- if you have a request, please reach out (Section 14) and we'll do our best to help.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as teamiii changes -- for example, as we add new privacy controls or features. We'll update the effective date at the top of this page when we do. If a change is significant, we'll make a reasonable effort to let users know inside the app or by email.

14. Contact Us

Questions, concerns, or requests about this Privacy Policy or your information -- including anything related to a minor athlete's profile -- can be sent any time to [email protected].
